Pocket-Friendly Lunch

Recently I've had to be a little more creative on things that I'm bringing to lunch. Usually it's just soup because...it comes in a can and all I really have to do is pop it in the microwave and be done with it. Last week I brought turkey alfredo and beefy spaghetti too. That was pretty good. And now it's Monday again and I'll probably bring a soup again just so I don't have to think too hard about it. It's nice to save a little money. Although I like HAVE to grab a Starbucks every morning so no saving money there lol.

Amazing Soda Maker

Have you seen those new do-it-yourself soda makers? They are way awesome; it's hard to believe they are only like a hundred bucks. Basically, you put bottled water in the container and set it into the machine (it hooks up really easy). Then you push the button connected to the carbon and it puts the carbonation into the water. The more you push the button, the more carbonated your drink will become. They also have a myriad of syrups to add. And get this, they are actually good. Still not as healthy though in my eyes (with the aspartame and corn syrup). Pretty cool huh?

The Bottomline of Jealousy

Recently I've been thinking a lot about jealousy and what it means. When you're jealous of someone, it's because you like them for some reason. You are jealous/like their hair or their personality. Maybe you like the side of town that they grew up on. And many times, people will call you jealous and make you their enemy all in the name of their own jealousy. And jealousy I've found to be the perfect foil for insecurity. So when you're jealous of someone or think they are jealous of you...ask yourself what you're so insecure about.

The Weird Droid

Lately my Droid has been acting up again...and there hasn't even been a software update. When I get a text message, the sound is all weird/off. And it sound schizophrenic when my alarm goes off in the morning. It's really mostly just kind of creepy. And then I thought I was hallucinating this kind of light beeping sound, kind of like a watch. But I totally wasn't. It's my freaking Droid that's beeping like some kind of evil time bomb. I just restarted it...hopefully that will fix it. I don't know why I didn't think of that earlier.

Sleepless Week

I think Sunday morning will be the first morning I'll be able to sleep in since probably more than a week ago. I had to open all week at work and I got up early to do more paperwork for my new job. It's always something. Then I will have to promise myself to finish unpacking at least half of the stuff that is left. I've been doing it so leisurely, I know it's being done, but it doesn't look like it. Again it feels like there's always something. My mind can't rest when my world is in disarray. Hopefully things will get back on track soon.

The Present Time

I can't believe that it's almost been an entire year already. Seriously where the hell does time go? I've heard it gets faster the older you get, but I'm only 22. I've also heard that time is collapsing on itself...but I don't really understand what that means. If time collapsed on itself wouldn't we be running into dinosaurs and Albert Einstein? Or does it just mean that time is going to be a thing of the past? Haha, well you wouldn't be able to say that anymore...because time would just be...there would be no future or past, only present right?

Shopping vs. World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft used to be a big part of my life. It's a great stress reducer, the way I played it at least. I like to roll hunters so I can have a little pet follow me around and leave destruction in my wake. Haha. It is also my secret little money saver because quite frankly I'd rather be playing WoW than shopping most days. I have been thinking about picking it back up since I haven't played in a while since the last patch frustrated me beyond all reason. A lot of my friends still play it to. Perhaps it is time.

Chocolate Addiction

In the midst of all the tension lately, I find myself gravitating to more chocolate. I used to not have too many standards (i.e. Hershey's was permissible), but now a days I find myself needing the Endangered Species 72 percent chocolate or Green and Blacks Organic Chocolate. When I really want a treat I sink my teeth into some See's. Molasses chips are my favorite, but the ones with marzipan in them are a close second. Yummy! I've been attempting to be good and only get a half pound. I think my waistline appreciates it, but my cravings sure don't!

My Dad's Vision of Entertainment

My dad has always said is that entertainment will eventually be as it was in Roman times, when people fought lions, tigers, and bears.Considering history repeats itself he is probably right. Already shows like Jersey Shore and half of the things on MTV are allowed to be aired. That's mostly just people disrespecting each other and having sex. Now imagine if we just gave those people some swords and nun chucks. I guess at least then they'd be "more enteraining" right? Ok, well in a few years that will somehow make more sense. Hollywood always justifies nonsense to make more money.

Looking Forward for My Vacation

Today I finished my nine day straight work schedule. While I'm completely exhausted, and totally over dealing with people in general, I feel a sense of accomplishment in myself. Hooray! I know I'm lucky to have a job, blah, blah, blah...but sometimes unemployment sounds a little bit better for a while haha. I should be careful what I wish for huh? I have a great job too, I don't really know what I'm complaining about. I guess that's what 9 days will do to you, you lose your sense! Vacations are always nice though, even staycations aren't so bad. Hopefully I'll get one soon.
